New bathroom - where to begin!

We may finally be in a position to have both our bathroom and our en-suite replaced. They are both approximately 30 years old, a delightful shade of pale peach toilet, sink, bath amd shower cubicle with delightful dusty pink carpeted floors. I know, I know, you are immensely jealous. 😂

I have never had to plan a new bathroom before so have not a clue where to begin. Is there an idiots step by step guide somewhere? I have no clue where to start.

Pinterest is your friend!

I'm in the same boat - Pinterest is great idea to get ideas. Also it's worth going to a show room to get ideas that you wouldn't necessarily think of yourself e.g I'm getting a bath that fills up via the overflow and a shower head where the cord is concealed inside the bath so it all looks really neat and I'd have never have thought of that! Also a shower that you turn on from outside/with a remote. You can then look online to replicate their plan at a cheaper price - unless you prefer the comfort of having a store to go back to. Often if you ask your bathroom fitter they can get discounts at local shops too. Also Tika moon has some lovely bathroom cabinets. It's much easier if you don't move anything else e.g keep loo in same place etc. We know our neighbors well so we had a nosey at what they'd done to get ideas too. Now I'm just stuck on where to tile and where not to tile!! Got some lovely tiles from Topps tiles - serac honed marble - they have good Pinterest page for ideas also.

We’ve just bought a house with this en suite and bathroom colour 🤢.

I went on rated people, a local tradesman contacted me. He designed the rooms, chose fittings etc (confirmed with us etc) and is currently working on them both now. Cost is approx £6,000 for both bathroom and en suite!
