What things did your snagging survey cover?
If it’s not indelicate, how much did it cost?
Did you get your solicitor to add a clause to the contract relating to the completion of snags within a certain time frame or did you hope that the builder’s contract already contained such agreements?
My solicitor says he’s never heard of a new build snagging survey (I live in Northern Ireland) - although his company deals with 700 conveyances per year - and has said that he knows the other side won’t entertain it. I asked him not to put it to them until we’d looked into it a bit more - but he did and they’ve said a snagging clause is totally unacceptable to them.
