Washing Machine Loud Rocking Noise At Medium Spin Speed

I'm not quite sure what the right forums is. I have a 10 year old Siemens washing machine. At medium spin speeds there is an extremely loud rocking noise.

At low and high spin speeds there is no noise & it operates as I would expect it to.

I called out an engineer who said there was nothing wrong with it and it was because I wasn't balancing my loads correctly. However this noise is apparent on every cycle regardless of whether I wash bedsheets only, towels only or clothes only.

Any advice? Is it likely something is broken if I am only hearing the noise on medium spin speeds and not on low or high spin speeds?

We have an uneven floor so have an inflatable thing which steadies the washer, stops the rocking and therefore reduces noise.

Yep, we had same with our 10 year old machine (it was a Bosch though) and had an engineer who changed the brushes and it worked at first then back to knocking and making a dreadful racket. We put up with it as couldn't afford another £100 call out charge and eventually it stopped working altogether (after about 2 months) and we now have a new machine and all is fine.

The engineer said although some machines can last 15-20 years most last about 10 so I was happy to buy new (he didn't benefit by me doing this btw). Do you use your machine daily? I probably only do 4 loads a week so not even using it that much. My sis does 1-2 loads a day but she has more DC than I do.

I use my machine around 3-4 times a week.

I've just done a towel wash and filled the machine drum half way full. The machine has operated perfectly with no noise or excessive drum movement.

Maybe i just need to put in less clothes and only ever fill it to 50-70%?
