Hello,

After years of hardwork and savings my mortgage application got approved. Now the next steps I am really worried about are:
Building Insurance
Carpet
Furniture including beds, cupboards, sofa etc

The house is small x2 bedroom and I am now looking for any help as naive person who does not know nothing about carpets what to look for and where to find quotes etc. Also where do I start for furniture for at least beds and sofa etc. Finally Building insurance is it okay to shop around or go to a particular bank for that ?

Any help or guidelines would be much appreciated.smile

There are plenty of comparison sites for buildings insurance.
Do the carpets need replacing or could they just be cleaned?
I like IKEA furniture - lots of choice, decent quality for the price. I've had my bed frame 12 years and it was less than £100, & when I had wardrobes delivered they were great and carried it all upstairs for me.
If you have a big car or access to a van there are lots of bargains on eBay, Gumtree, Facebook marketplace etc.
