Wow, look at this colour scheme, I love the blue, if it was mine I might have a bit less stuff so I could see more of the room but it’s stunning.

I swear a house very similar or the same house was on here before.

Either way i’d add a lot of white to the house. Ceilings, above picture rail to tone it down but otherwise I like the colours.

But the thing that annoys me most about this house.... they obviously spent a lot of money on it... but why didn’t they renew the incomplete external moulding above the LHS bay or just remove the lot.... OCD overload!

Bones of the house are lovely though.

Squirrel - are you thinking of the one that had lots of pink and blue used together and decoupage on the walls and furniture?

Squirreltamer · 14/03/2019 23:48

This one

Different house. Same town, similar decor... still not sold.

There was a house by me entirely black and deep purple inside. Sold for 80k less than it should of... looked like a popgoths nest.

God, that decor hurts my eyes, OP! But it's a beautiful house - if it was empty I might quite like it. No, actually the colours are still too strong for me. I dare say the owners would loathe my place!

Are Hastings estate agents making MN accounts now? Grin

wowfudge · 15/03/2019 07:36

Squirrel the one you've linked to is the one I was thinking of.

wowfudge · 15/03/2019 07:40

Why would you paint the ceilings those same dark colours as the walls? It's so oppressive. The upstairs with white ceilings is much more pleasant.

Rattysparklebum · 15/03/2019 07:48

TrotEsio 😂 not an estate agent but I love looking at all the lovely character houses as I sit in my very practical but boring 1960’s box!

Sadly, if you look at similar properties, others are so much nicer and I’d rather paint a few walls darker than get all the ceilings back to white Shock

TapasForTwo · 15/03/2019 08:10

No. I hate it. The colours are too dark and oppressive, and make the rooms feel claustrophobic. It would take a lot of time and effort, not to mention £££ to make it to my taste. I prefer light and airy.

The owners have clearly lavished attention on the inside but completely ignored the outside. And the back "garden" is way too small for a house that size.

purplepears · 15/03/2019 09:31

It's beautiful

AlexaAmbidextra · 16/03/2019 01:26

I’m just thinking what an awful job it would be to pack it all up for the move. Shock

HumptyNumptyNooNoo · 16/03/2019 08:30

The ceilings coloured too - in the same depth of colour are a mistake in my opinion - a paler version of the colour would improve this . It's a marmite house . Most who'd hate it probably would not even bother to view as you know it would take about 20 coats of white paint to get it 'normal ' again.
