White Goods to Greece

Hello, first post!

We’ve bought a house in Greece and will be driving with a van full of stuff. We have the option of taking a washing machine and a fridge freezer. We could get extension leads with adaptors but does anyone know if you can change a uk plug to a euro 2 pin plug safely, is it difficult?

Thanks

We live in Belgium, and lots of our white goods have been used with adaptors, both UK to Belgian, and Belgian to UK.

Yes you can buy rewireable plugs just as you can here. Very easy, just choose the correct earthing arrangement.

I'll clarify that slightly as it vary slightly by county across the EU, for white goods typically don't use the flat 2 pin (for table lamps etc) use the round 2/3 pin type with the earth wiper on the side and male/female pin depending on local. These are usually round.
