Anyone plastered a basement?

What did you use? Ours was done before we moved in but I’m wondering if it would solve an outside issue. We’ve got a garden retaining wall which lets water through and the paint peels off. Any ideas of what to use to paint it/cover it?

Sounds like it needs tanking not just plastering.

plastering a damp/wet wall is useless.

If it’s a wall in your garden then what it probably needs are small drainage holes towards the base, ideally with a bit of pipe in to help keep it open, to let out water from the soil behind it. Obviously needs to be done very carefully so as not to weaken the wall.
