Housing Association- Refurb advice pls

Hi
I’m currently having a kitchen refurb done by my housing association which started last week. We were having a full refurb & boiler changed to combi. Plan was to rip out kitchen on the first day and then for them to replace the old boiler tank system to a combi. They didn’t stick to plan anyway, which was okay with us as things come up. They pulled our kitchen sink out last Wednesday & we’ve not had drinking water since then. (We were told before all this went ahead that we have to be left with running water in the kitchen until it’s replaced) we’ve had the combi fitted today so we now have drinking water from our bathroom sink.

Still no sink in the kitchen. We’ve got 2 young kids (3yr old & 3m Old) so washing is a nightmare with all the bottles and sterilising etc. Had a manager from the firm come out today saying ‘it’s not a big deal because these things happen’
Wasn’t very pleased with his tone and attitude tbh, I’ve had to be buying endless bottles for drinking, washing, sterilising.

Just want to get this off my chest tbh and find out if we’ve been treated fairly?

Also our on site supervisor has said if we don’t want a kitchen radiator we don’t have to have one and he will get the pipe work cut down below the floorboards!! This guy that’s turned up today had said ‘No you can’t, you have to have a radiator and if not the pipe work stays the way it is incase the next tenant that comes in wants a radiator’

Totally pissed me off! Also what can be done there?

Sorry for the long post

Tia x

Tell them you will deduct money off final bill for length of time they take
