Can anyone offer some advice?
We went to a local (to the new house not current) carpet fitter a couple of months ago picked out some carpet and laminate - they went to measure the new house and gave us prices. We then told them we'd let them know when we were moving in. I called them on the 4th to say we'll move in the 14th so he said fine and put us in the books. Then we tried to ring back on saturday, one of the guys also gave us a mobile number we called that - no answer! Finally got to speak to them yesterday after trying all day monday and they can't fit us in for two weeks!
They told us they would ring and let us know if they could do it this weekend but we heard nothing, we've called this morning and sent texts - nothing! We've told them we'll have to leave it as we need it doing this weekend.
They can't come back to us now for money can they? They took no deposit and haven't answered calls or phoned us back.
