We're just getting plans drawn up to convert a small barn. Architect has suggested we stick with wooden sash windows for most aspects, but an aluminium window for a larger new opening. I think it will look odd having both and would prefer to just specify one type, but don't know which to choose. Cost is a concern - can anyone advise on which is likely to cost more?
