Online estate agents

I would appreciate feedback on using an online only estate agent like Purple Bricks. They are considerably cheaper than the traditional alternative which is very tempting. But do you get want you pay for?

I source properly and my dealings with on line estate agents aren’t positive. I would advice using a local agent,

I used open house and they were fab. One set price of £559 I think and we went on the market to sold at asking price in 2 days l. The photos were excellent and I think that really helped.

I’ve not used one but I think it depends on your house.
If you are in an area where houses sell quickly then why not. If it’s harder to sell then a traditional one might be best.

Our last house was hard to sell. We went with one agent who did nothing, just stuck it in Right Move and sat there. Some viewings but no offers for 6 months.
We then realised that another agent that we had approached to find us a house was working her socks off. So we switched to her. The house sold in 3 weeks.

Agree with Chester that if you have a house that should be easy to sell them give it a go.

Also depends on how desperate you are to sell as good traditional agents will work to find you a buyer whereby the online agents will rely on you buyer finding you.
