Metal paint - have I ruined my oven?!

We attempted to clean our oven last week and got a bit of the stuff on the oven door - it's now eaten into the metal on the handle 🤦🏻‍♀️ we've had it cleaned professionally now, but does anyone know if you can get metallic heat proof paint??

It's going to be difficult to match, never mind find heatproof paint. Have you tried getting a quote for a replacement handle instead.

It'll be an aluminium alloy that the aggressive, corrosive chemical has attacked.

There'll be a warning on the label.

You might be able to get a replacement handle from the makers or one of the online part suppliers.

You'll need the make, model and number.

If you're handy, I suppose you could take off the handle and spray it (outdoors) with car paint. Something simple and non-metallic, like gloss black.
