Counter top basin in cloakroom

Hello...has anyone got a counter top basin in a small cloakroom. I really like these but the space we have is limited. Has anyone achieved this on a small unit or even adapted their own table/console?? Thanks!

How small? What will it be sitting on? There are plenty of small counter top sinks available:

www.houzz.co.uk are usually good for ideas.

Thanks for that- looking also for what the basin could sit on. I don't really want a plastic type unit, something more natural?? Have looked a lot but still struggling to find something. Has anyone adapted a table of their own??

A basin on worktop tends to have dirt traps and collect water in joints. You can get ceramic vanity basins which fit a wall-hing or floor-standing unit (there will not be much room in it as the pipes and waste will take up room).

800mm is a popular width as it fits under stairs. To my eye the wider ones look too big.

Plastic ones are available and cheaper, but very flimsy.

Some fit a shallow cabinet and the curve of the basin overhangs the top.

Don't put a wall cupboard or shelf above the basin. When a glass jar or bottle falls out it will crack the ceramic.
