@WorrisomeHeart, that's quiet a change, 7 to 2, will help the budget somewhat.
Where the window is by the sink will be floor to ceiling as the sink is moving.
There are some doors at the far end which will be blocked up to windowsill level and the units will run down the back wall, infront of the window and then at 90 degrees as a "c" shape to give me a peninsula to put the hob on.
In the new bit (where a damp, lean to conservatory once lived) there are windows along the front and will be bifold doors on the side which will lead to the first patio.
I've got the biggest velux they do in the roof, the back of the house only gets direct sunlight first thing in the morning so I wanted as much light as I could later in the day. 2 small ones wouldn't have had the same effect I think.
There are then some steps upto the next patio which is being extended to meet the conservatory wall so there wasnt a useless gap between and has had to be all damp proofed
The floor is going to be a v v light grey, the units I've kept as I like them and were just b&q classic cream (5 yes old and as good as new) and probably a light grey quartz worktop (they are bringing all the samples when they come and template)
I have a bit of a thing for pink and blue, the current kitchen is aqua and then I have some pink accessories (swan retro range and my kitchen aid)
I'm tempted to do the kitchen end in a similar colour and then the rest a lighter version, but a blush/baby pink wall may feature somewhere. I've got lots of small bits of wall due to nibs for steels so could have the odd splash of other colour.
I've seen some fab pink velvet 2 seat sofas which would go amazingly with the retro type look I'm thinking of to go in the new "conservatory" bit.
I just can't decide, I have lived in the whole house magnolia apart from the kitchen and I need to keep the colour in there.
Wow, I've waffled, sorry.
