Online search for houses no longer for sale

I'm trying to find a previous listing of a house which was up for sale last year but has since been taken off the market.

I know Zoopla do it but that's only with houses which were marketed by agents who use that site. The estate agent of the house I'm searching for definitely don't use Zoopla.

Any ideas anyone please?

Have you tried googling the address and seeing if you can still see it? Sometimes they are cached and you can find the listing although it will state no longer available.

Thanks Wow. I've tried allsorts of combinations in google search but nothing is coming up.

As pp said if you google the address you normally get a link to a Rightmove page. It will list all the houses in that road and show all previous listings / sake prices

cornishpixue · 04/03/2019 15:58

Sale prices

Is Property Bee still available as an add in on Firefox? You used to be able to track all the sales changes on selling platforms using it - so how long a house had been listed and all the changes to the details and pricing. You could probably track something taken off the market too.

As a pp suggested, the listing may be available via sold prices on Rightmove even though it didn't sell.

I haven't got Property Bee on Firefox to work for ages.

Thanks everyone. I've tried searching on the address but it's still not coming up on Rightmove. I'm thinking maybe it's been permanently deleted.
Thank you.

www.mouseprice.com ?

Don't know if it would work, but the internet wayback machine (google it) takes snapshots and archives webpages, could be worth a try

I found a dd's house long after it was sold via some sold prices or other link on RM. The EA pics were still there.

MothershipG · 04/03/2019 22:29

Any estate agent will be able to look using the back office version of RM. why are you looking for it? Is it something you could legitimately ask for help with?

Adikbfeayujvxeuhr · 04/03/2019 22:49

If you know the branch that marketed the property and they have a page that lists all their properties and you know the approximate date, then try the website archive.org/web/ - you can put in any url and you can see what the web site looked like on a specific previous date.

twiceinalifetime · 05/03/2019 08:45

Thanks. The reason for looking for it is quite legit.

Is there a house nearby for sale on Rightmove? It might pop up on the 'properties sold recently' panel.

Magissa · 05/03/2019 09:04

If its something you looked at online could you go back through your google history to find it? If you can remember when you saw it...

twiceinalifetime · 06/03/2019 19:02

That's a good idea Magissa, I will try that (if I can remember when I looked at it the first time). Thanks
