Anyone fancy a home bargains thread?

As I await the keys to my new home on Friday, I am sitting here planning all the things I intend to buy πŸ πŸ’ΈπŸ˜‚ It got me thinking, who fancies a thread, like the Christmas bargains one, where we share amazing 'finds' for the home? 🏑 I don't have anything to share yet but anyone up for it?

Yes!!! I love TKmaxx for bargains but it's so random so not easy to post good finds! My house is very bland at the moment and needs some livening up - the cheaper the better :))

I've had loads of bargains off local FB pages...brand new sofa bed £30 (and it's actually comfy) pouffe that turns into a single bed £40, old desk bureau £10, all my living room oak furniture freeeeeeee and loads of other bits and bobs haha love a bargain and I have a Zafira so it's like having a mini van to collect everything in ☺
Haven't seen any shop bargains lately I'm afraid though.

I am always looking at fb marketplace and pondering but never actually taken the plunge. In fact I saw a kitchen sink, with tap yesterday that I quite fancied but I'm too chicken - not sure why πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Love a bit of TK Maxx

I also love a fb bargain and get so upset if I miss something by a few minutes!!

Our extension was slow to get going so I used the time to buy as much as possible as cheaply as possible.
Lightbulbs and fittings, sinks, baths, toilets, toilet seats, shower trays, taps, shower heads, bar stools, bedside tables, wall decals, armchair, candle sticks, vases...!! I set alerts on eBay and gumtree for brands I really liked and waited...

Freegle and free cycle are good for freebies- also gumtree. Got a decent desk for my son's rental house but just missed an office chair .
Sometimes you can pick up bargain curtains in charity shops.

All the curtains in my house are from charity shops. Really good quality- Laura Ashley, JL etc, nearly new and a fraction of the retail price. I’ve also had some great throws for beds and sofas, again good labels. Also a beautiful dresser, a nearly new Samsung washer/dryer, coffee tables, chest of drawers and dressing table all from charity shops. I set alerts on FB market place too for all sorts of things. We live in quite an affluent area where people tend to move and redecorate often, which helps!

Not really a freebie or charity shop but I bought the most beautiful wool tartan curtains from Asda for my living room at less then half the price of my much smaller bedroom ones of similar style in Dunelm. I then picked up extra large pillows in the same material for Β£10 each. To go on my huge brown leather sofa from gumtree for Β£50 (Β£2000 retail). Altogether less than Β£90 but looks like I've spent hundreds in a fancy niche shop. Everyone comments on them. I find ASDA bedding and soft furnishings excellent value. Enjoy decorating your new home!

I've bought loads of lovely bits and bobs in The Range. A lot of their accessories seem to be copies of more expensive items. Great place for a browse. Have fun!
