Kitchen regrets

We are in the process of planning our new kitchen. To those of you who've been through this recently, are there any things you've included or missed out of your current kitchen that irk you?
From our current kitchen, for me, it would be the white grout and tiling behind the hob. The grout quickly went grey and patchy where oil splashed against the tiles during cooking. Within a year of us tiling the kitchen it looked awful. This time we'll either use grey grout or a splashback.

The grey grout in my kitchen still looks new after almost 10 years, definitely go for that. I wish I'd gone for a double wine rack rather than a single one, I always seem to have bottles of tonic, juice and wine lying around.

I wouldn't get a stainless steel splashback again as its a nightmare to keep clean and looks a bit rusty in places. Same with a stainless steel sink - never again.

I'd move my electrics away from the hob. The spitting oil makes a mess of them and the cables.

We have oak work tops they look beautiful but the upkeep is a real pain, I wouldn’t have them again

Our kitchen is being installed this week (and we haven't even started using it!), and at the advice of the kitchen designer (who I have no regrets in using!) we went for a 70/30 fridge freezer - now it's installed I already regret not going 50/50 - we freeze far more than he thought!! I'm now trying to work out how to fit an under counter freezer into the yet to be fitted utility room!
