We are looking for a house to rent. We know what we'd like and where. We have been looking online on property search websites, as well as places like gumtree.
We have found some we think may be suitable and would like to arrange viewings.
My question is this: some are through estate agents and others we have contacted the landlord directly (the ones we found through gumtree).
We first made contact when we found the property, so either Thursday or Friday last week (some we had to do by chat as there was no number). Obviously we have disregarded the weekend and didn't expect replies then. But i wondered how long would be acceptable to wait for a reply before we get in touch again? (I'm not saying I except people to get back to us this morning or anything, I just wondered how many days we should wait?). We really don't want to miss out by leaving it too long to wait for a reply, but equally we don't want to be seen as impatient or pushy. So I thought I'd try to get a general consensus here.
