Bathroom shower screen ideas

So we're buying this house and the bathroom looks like the pic.
I absolutely despise shower curtains so want to put in a screen. I initially wanted to put a concertina one but realised with where taps are that this might not be possible? Would the only option left be a solid panel one. It would have to swing out towards window though as I need to move it to run toddlers bath each day and can't have half bath blocked off. What would you suggest?
Also hate the wood panelling and marble effect so would be retilling entire bathroom at some stage too but keeping the suite etc to keep costs down.

You could get an extra-long shower hose and mount the shower head on the wall at the other end of the bath and have a fixed screen at that end instead?

Hmmm never thought of that! Thanks!!

Oh dear. It is not a pleasant bathroom is it? Tiling will cost a fortune. I would suggest re doing the bathroom. Do you really want a bidet? This could be a lovely space but spending a fortune on tiling won't make this a great bathroom. Good money after bad really.

I don’t see why solid but swinging out wouldn’t work. For me to reach the end of our bath, where taps would be, (they’re at the other end in reality, the screen only needs to come out a bit.

What is it specifically about shower curtains you dislike? I'm not a fan either because they always seem to waft towards me and stick to me. That is, until we got a curved rail from argos. Total game changer. Loads of room for a shower now and I change the curtain regularly (or stick it in the washing machine) to keep it clean. We also have a transparent curtain so it's not so enclosed. Might just be easier (and cheaper) than a screen?

Our screen swings out flat against the wall. Is there enough clearance above the bidet taps though?

Don't get a concertina one. We have one and it's horrible. Far too many crevices to get all mouldy. I'm considering a shower curtain as easier to keep clean. And agree that if you're going to do up the bathroom, you may well end up reorganising it so a screen now might be an expensive waste of money.
