Gate opening mechanism

Sorry this is such a boring topic but can anyone tell me what I need. We are getting gates for our drive. I want to be able to drive/ride up to them both sides and have them open automatically. I do not want to have to use a keypad or a button to open them. It's mostly to keep the animals in and my BILs cows out of the garden.

Can anyone tell me what I need? Please.

I do believe it is called a wireless driveway vehicle sensor - though how it can differentiate between your car and a herd of cattle, I wouldn't know!
No experience of using one, sadly.

When you say keypad or button are you also ruling out fobs? Do you want anyone to be able to have access?

There is some information on this page about what you might be thinking of.

Basically we are a very small sheep farm with a couple of horses and so we are almost always outside so wouldn't hear someone ringing a doorbell etc.

My thinking is the gate would open slowly enough so hopefully the cows wouldn't hang around to be let in and the horses let out likewise when they are on an escape mission.

@Dothehappydance that was very useful thank you. Push button looks like it might be the best unless DH fancies digging up the drive again!
