My partner and I are thinking about moving from London to St Albans. My Partner recently started a job in Milton Keyes and we are trying to find an area which would be easy for us both to commute from.
We are not very familiar with St Albans, but it seems like a nice place to start a family (no children yet). We would like to buy a house and are thinking about buying in the Camp area of St Albans. I am concerned that the area may not be the best area and the house we are looking at is at the higher end of our budget (700K). It is close to the train station though which is good.
Does anyone happen to know if the Camp area is up and coming? Do you think that a house could be worth that much money in that area? Are there good schools in the area should ever have children?
