Bespoke wooden front door

Hello!
We’re based in the south east and need a new front door. Can anyone recommend a company?
I think we want hard wood rather than composite, and it’s not a standard size, but not massive either. (Quote for a composite door needed 3cm of “Filler” in the frame as it’s 3cm taller than the biggest size they make)
The current door is really shot, so a complete replacement is required!
TIA

I'd look round for a local joinery company in your area.

They might inconspicuously make doors, windowframes, skirting etc for people restoring older houses and getting rid of hideous plastic.

Personal recommendation is best, but you can cruise round listed buildings and ask. Your local council should have a Conservation Officer who deals with them.

Builders specialising in listed buildings tend to be expensive, but any joiner who can use a measure, a saw and a plane can make a door.

We used a local carpenter for several jobs including a bespoke hardwood door and frame. He did a beautiful job and the door cost about £1000.

www.sehbac.com/ did my front door. A wonder to work with and excellent staff!
