Can’t decide on kitchen design

We’re in the middle of side and rear extension and we really need to finalise our kitchen design. Problem I just can’t decide on how to have the island. If anyone could shed some light it would be much appriciated. I’ve attached the two designs.

Statisticallychallenged and MrsCollinssettled thank you you’ve been very helpful Smile

Happy to help. So easy to get befuddled with all the options but at the end of the day it has to work with your lifestyle or you'll never be happy with it.

We’ve just done very similar and the kitchen design was the hardest part - too many options I think!

We decided against a wine cooler, they’re not very efficient to run so we figured just use the fridge.

Picking up what someone said up thread about a row of four stools on the island - we have two on each side and it’s really sociable.

Reshard do you mind sharing a picture of yours or floor plan if you have it? Interesting about the wine cooler will reconsider.

We still need to put in end panels and kick boards but here you go. DD has taken to doing her homework at the island

Rshard thank you your kitchen looks fab what colour/style units have you got?

Rshard · 01/03/2019 06:30

Thanks! The units are from Ikea, ringholt. We love it. The island is made up of a row of deep drawers on the front, where the hob is and a row of cupboards at the back.
