I am looking for recommendations and costs to have a home security fitted with monitoring.

What are the costs I should expect for a good system with PIR that are pet friendly?

Must have good aftersales care and routine servicing of the alarms.

What does it cost for monitoring each month?

I am in Greenwich.

I’m in SW London and just been getting quotes. Around £2800 (can’t remember if that’s pre or post VAT) and then £12-15 incl vat per month for maintenance. If you want monitored, more like £18 per month.

NB pet friendly PIRs rely on the pets staying at ground level so not great if you have cats who jump up. In that case you would need perimeter sensors (doors and windows) instead of PIRs.
