Why are you anxious?
Where are you living from in SE london?

I’m not trying to be unsympathetic, I’m just trying to understand the source of the anxiety.

What is driving the move? Is it social housing?

Kaylexi2013 · 04/02/2019 22:46

Yes it social housing and just the anxiety is from the thought kf going to an area that I don't know

You might not know the area now, but you'll start exploring as soon as you get there. It's still in London.

Clapton/Hackney is great Op, lots of cafes, kids activities, parks, green spaces. Good schools and transport. You will get to explore and find areas you love. Upper Clapton has Springfield park, fabulous space with canals/river boats. Asda and Sainsbury’s nearby. Trains and buses easy.

What age are kids, what’s your worry?

Kaylexi2013 · 04/02/2019 23:12

Kids are 16 5 and 2

My friend recently moved there from Brixton and loves it!
It is scary but don’t feel daunted. It’s like anywhere in london with it great bits and less great bits.

SuperMummy1234 · 05/02/2019 07:05

It depends what part of SE London you’re moving from?

Upper Clapton and Hackney are really nice in parts but also have some not so nice parts like lots of parts of London! The borough also has a gangs issue so if you have children check the local schools they will be going to.

Kaylexi2013 · 05/02/2019 07:16

I'm moving from se11 near Brixton

OP posts:
northernsouljunket · 05/02/2019 08:47

Ok.
I’m it trying to be snobbish but if you were moving from east dulwich then upper Clapton east might feel a bit different but se11 you’ll be fine.
Are you just scared because it’s new? Which is understandable.

northernsouljunket · 05/02/2019 08:48

I meant ‘I’m not trying to be snobbish.’

My friend who has also has children prefers it there then Brixton. I’m hoping you will too!
