Anyone live in Wooburn Green or nearby? What is it like? Is the primary school any good? Thanks

St Paul’s is great but you have to be in catchment. Wooburn Green Primary was in special measures (or RI) for a long time when it was The Meadows. They changed the name and turned it into an academy. Lots of people would stay away but I think that the high staff turnover was related to the ridiculous pressure put upon them by the LA and Ofsted. I know many of the staff worked extremely hard to make improvements. Dropmore Infant at the top of the hill above Wooburn is lovely. You’d probably get into Juniper or Claytons too which are both fine.

Anyway.... depends what area of Wooburn really! It’s close to the motorway which can be an issue for noise at but around the green and up towards Bourne End it isn’t really noticeable.

You mean the pressure was applied by the academy chain. An academy isn’t pressurised by the LA. It’s no longer their school!

That’s great. Thanks. What is the area like to live?

No, the pressure was applied by Ofsted before they eventually turned into an academy.

The area is nice. Close to transport links, traditional village around the green but close to larger towns like Beaconsfield, Marlow, Wycombe and Maidenhead. Easy to get to London if you want to. Usual local clubs like scouts and guides etc.
