Housesimple or local agent (bromley)

We put our house on the market in August with HouseSimple. We had 1 viewing. Reduced the price in October, had another viewing. The agent said the market was dead quiet everywhere not just out house. Reduced again, but we got it off the market later as we had back to back family holidays coming up.

Shall I get it back on the market now or wait until this brexit thing is done? We have to sell this house to move, but we arent in a mad rush. If you suggest I put it back on the market, should I go with Housesimple or go with a local agent? If the market is quiet, Im wondering how a local agent will get me a buyer? Housesimple have been good from admin perspective, but no viewings!

I see a lot of KFH boards in bromley. Does anyone here have experience selling with them or with any other local agent?

I have no real advice other than I'm currently dealing as a buyer with housesimple and there is nothing simple about it.

I wish my seller had gone with a local agent that I could actually talk to and drop documents in with.

I sold with Homezone when I sold my property. The buyers used them again when they sold it on. We both love them! Highly recommended.

Hi op, I'm relatively local to you. I'm not familiar with house simple but there are a lot of purple bricks signs up around here. I'm guessing they work in a similar way? We have friends who recently sold through purple bricks and they were thrilled with the outcome.
We bought through kfh when we bought our current home a few years back. There is one other local estate agents that I see has quite a few boards up, I'll have a look later whilst out on the school run as I can't remember which company it is.
But yes, there are a lot of houses around here sitting these days, there doesn't seem to be much selling happening.

We were looking at houses in the Bromley area and Housesimple were a bit of a pain. I prefer to use a traditional agent to be honest. KFH offer good service but I find they over price, a bit like Foxtons.

Agree with Mrs KFh always seem to overprice, Proctors are good.

Thanks all ! We don’t know if Housesimple was being difficult or just the market. There was not much interest in the property - it’s a well maintained lovely house. Neutrally decorated.

Op, Alan De maid and Langford Russell were the agents I was thinking of but no idea of their charges.
Tbh, I'd choose something that also advertises through rightmove as it maximises exposure.
