hole in the wall fire

Hi I have just moved into a house that has a very ornate marble fireplace, which is totally dominating the room. Cant decide whether to replace with limestone fireplace or hole in the wall fire, I am looking at the kinder celena, anyone any ideas?

Go for the hole if you fancy that - you can always add a tiles-and-mantel or stone surround if it looks too bare in the end.

If the marble monstrosity is removable in good condition it might be sellable too...
