Advice on bath screens please

Looking for new bath and want a shower over it. The L shaped baths look good, but with a fixed screen how do you turn on the taps and shower without getting in the bath??
Do we really need an L or P shaped bath to shower? Do you have a bath screen to recommend or avoid?

Just had a new bath put in (normal, not L or P) with shower over and regret going with a screen! Water goes everywhere so we're swapping for a curtain which is what I've always had.

Having said that, my bath/shower controls & temp gauge and tap and stuff are all in the centre, so no need to move the screen to get it all going.

We have a sort of steep sided bath. It's a double ended bath so the taps are in the middle of the side that's along the wall. You can still reach them past the shower screen
