I’m sick of my cookbooks falling off the edge of my kitchen corner shelves (particularly when they create a rah in the middle of the night) and want to put some sort of retaining rail around each edge of the shelf for minimal cash.

I’ve tried bookends in the past but the weight of books forced them off the edge.

I can’t find what I’m looking for using various permutations of shelf retaining rail and the easiest solution I can come up with is short lengths of net curtain wire attached either end by cup hooks which I think will look rubbish.

Help me!

As a short-term measure ...
You are stacking the books vertically. Do it horizontally instead.
Or stack most of them horizontally and use that stack as the 'book end' to hold in place the really tall books that need to be vertical.

Oh, that's what espresso said. I didn't read to the end of her post. Blush
