Loft conversion.

We are having our loft converted with a Dormer along the back and ensuite toilet & sink
As well as lots of other reconfiguration of the rest of the house. New walls, removing walls, moving bathroom, under stairs toilet. So it's going to be a massive change.
It's all set to start mid may. I'm very excited but finding it a bit frustrating as I'm having difficulty visualising what the new loft room will look like!
If there is anyone here willing to show off theirs I'd love to see. All I find online is flashy magazine spread types but I'd love to check out some real life ones. Especially your storage solutions and bed placements.
I live in a 2 bed + 1 box room mid Victorian terrace.

Here's ours from our old house, haven't got a photo of the ensuite though I'm afraid. It has a corner shower and corner loo and this gave a lot more room in such a tiny space. We had sliding door wardrobes along one side which gave us more than enough room for clothes, we also had a fridge and coffeemaker in there to save going down 2 floors for a morning coffee haha The vertical mirrored radiator also saved space and was only £110.
We could of had more furniture if we had normal windows instead of the full length doors but it was worth it for the views and also we left them wide open when it was boiling hot in the summer 👍

Spicy that is so helpful! You your floor plans look the same as mine with the stairs and landing the same place and similar dimensions on both floors, so that is very encouraging as yours looks ace 🙌. The mirrored radiator looks a good idea. Just had a quick Google and they seem a lot more expensive now! I'm not getting the Juliet balcony as I don't have your lovely views. I had assumed the bed wouldn't be a good fit at the eves end of the room so it's good to see that it obviously works that way round. Do you have access to the eves behind the bed? X

What size is that conversion Spicy? And approx cost? We are going round and round with loft conversion vs extension plans - can’t afford both!!

Spicylolly · 31/01/2019 19:18

Esther they still have that radiator for sale, i think skyscraper now, I'll dig out the link. The eaves were made into storage cupboards and we had doors behind the bed headboard so I just pulled the bed out when i needed to get out the Christmas decs.
bythebeach the bedroom size was 3.6 x 3.8m, it cost about 36 grand not including the bathroom suite of any decorating. We had a great builder and that price included the architectural plans and fees for planning permission/building regs. Worth every penny and defo made the house so easy to sell....it went under offer after 2 weeks ☺

Spicylolly · 31/01/2019 19:19

Think it's cheaper now......not skyscraper!😆

Here's the radiator link on ebay, the room was always so warm we hardly ever turned it on though....if you do have the money have air con installed. I wish we had as it was crazy hot in the summer!

Lots of people have said that about the heat. Will have to look at how feisable air con would be 😀
