Empty floor/wall space in bedroom, inspiration needed!

I'm not the creative type and really need some inspiration!
Bedroom has a bed with two bedside tables & lamps that's it. There's floor space of about 1.5m from the end of the bed to the wall, and the wall has nothing on it. It's a big empty space which I want to fill so the room looks more homely.

It's such a black canvas that I'm struggling for ideas on what to put there! Can't do an ottoman at the end of the bed (door position means you'd walk right onto it) and all little sofas I've seen are too deep. I'm not keen for a tv either, although I know DH will put one in unless I can get in there with my plans first! Sideboard or console table is my only idea but what sort of stuff do you put on it or above it?

Please inspire me with your bedroom decor ideas or share pics spaces!

Share pics of your bedroom spaces!

(Feeding newborn DD in bed and posted too soon - typing one handed looking at said empty space!)

I'd fill it with bookshelves but I know that's not everyone's idea of homely.

A shallow depth dressing table with a lovely mirror and some pictures would work.

A couple of long shelves with plants and photos?

Console table, mirror and picture frames. www.bocadolobo.com/en/inspiration-and-ideas/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/HELEN-GREEN-DESIGN-THE-BERKELEY-CRESCENT-SUITE-MASTER-BEDROOM-1-VI.jpg

The bigger the mirror the less room there is for a TV!

Can't help as I long for empty space. Don't have a free centimetre. Grin

Like the idea of bookshelves or a few pegs with interesting hats or antique objects or beautiful bags, strings of beads or stuff particular to you.

A wall of small mirrors, paintings, mismatched frames, photos, little "box" shelves with little vases or pots in them.
