Another dishwasher question

Just moved house, it’s very dated, original 50s electrics, few sockets. One particular problem is the new dishwasher we bought. The cable is about 3 inches too short to reach the plug! Is there an easy way to extend a dishwasher cable. I don’t think using an extension cable is particularly safe.

We can’t put a new socket in or move an existing one as the whole house needs rewiring. Kitchen not on its own circuit, no consumer unit, so don’t think anyone would do this with it all in its current state.

We will get to the electrics in time but wondered if there is a way to make the cable longer to tide us over.

I think you have to replace the whole thing, you can't really extend it.

i personally would put a fused extension.
the issue can your circuit in kitchen put up with another appliance such as a dishwasher.
i guess around 2000w consumption
