Trying to rent house near Cambridge

Hi all
Has anyone had recent experience of renting a 4 bedroom property in South Cambridge (between Saffron Walden and Royston)? There appear to be very few properties like this and I don't know whether it's because there is no market for them or there are so few of them available that they get snapped up quickly. I would like to think the latter, but our beautiful house has been up since the beginning of the month and we have only had one viewing.
Any thoughts, comments or ideas?
Thanks :)

I don't really understand your question?
Are you trying to rent your house out and wondering why you don't have any takers?
What does your agent have to say regarding demand and availability?

I’d have thought there should be demand as it’s a popular area with relatively easy access to London by train or M11and to Cambridge. Rentals are price sensitive so is the monthly rent comparable to similar properties in the area?

I rent a 4 bed townhouse in Saffron Walden - they are both few and far between and thus get snapped up quickly.

There are very few properties of that size! So yes they get snapped up very quickly because the options are so limited for those tenants who need them.

Thank you all for this. You have confirmed my own thoughts that our lovely home should have been snapped up but hasn't been.

I can only assume that current uncertainty arou d Brexit has ground people's decision making to a halt.

I think people are more likely to rent because of Brexit, not less. There's likely to be a reason why yours doesn't get any viewings. No garden? No pets restriction? Unreasonably high price? Quirky decor? Main road?
