New kitchen

Any yays or nays for Wren or Magnet?

We have had quotes from both.

Also have had a quote from a smaller local company - more expensive (by quite a bit, it's a large kitchen) but looks great quality.

Me and DH are going round in circles trying to decide.

Thanks

Wren have an awful reputation, they have removed customer comments facilities from their Facebook page now!
I'm sure they've been on watchdog!

I think I'm only tempted in by the price baxdream

We are doing quite a lot of work on the house so every penny counts - but still...

We ended up using howdens and got quartz elsewhere and nice appliances.
We did a big extension too and completely agree that it's hard to spend on an expensive kitchen

I'd recommend howdens. We've just done a large kitchen extension. Units from howdens were £12k. Equivalent from magnet was £16k. We sourced granite elsewhere but this was also a lot cheaper than magnet.

The other good thing about howdens is the units are all in stock - so any issues or last minute changes you can just swap units out. We had a couple of end panels with faults and they could literally just nip to the shop and get new ones. It's not that easy with the bigger kitchen companies (we had a wren one in our last house) it can take several weeks for replacements to come.

We decided against Wren and magnet and went with the other company.

So we will see in a few weeks how that goes.

It was more expensive but I am hoping it will be worth it.

Thanks for all the replies.

I have been looking around for a new kitchen for a while now and have looked at lots of different kitchen showrooms and came across a company call Yew Tree Designs in West Sussex which are handmade kitchens. My husband and I have booked in for a kitchen design appointment as we both loved their showroom, website prices looked amazing, so looking forward to a quote.

Hi Gogirl73, Did you progress with Yew Tree?
