Building a new house. 4 bedrooms, may have up to 5 people living in it if our parent(s) ever need to move in. Will be oil boiler plus a woodburner in the open plan kitchen/family. Will have underfloor heating downstairs.
We need to spec out the heating and hot water stuff. I've read about a 4 pipe boiler which prioritises hot water over heating and means you can have a cheaper boiler. Does anyone know if there is an oil version, and if so is it worth it?
Any other hints on the various components we need, such as thermostats, pumps, cylinders etc? I'm aware of some of the bigger brand names but keen to see what people recommend in real life.
