Best (easiest) wireless room thermostat for central heating

Our central heating thermostat is on the blink (keeps switching itself, and so also the heating, off, despite swapping out batteries and moving it to a flat surface). We don't need a smart system, just another radio frequency or will be fine, but it needs to be easy to 'install'/set up, and easy to work. The boiler is a Glow worm combi and the current stat is a Danfoss but it was set up by the engineer when he installed the boiler so I'm unsure how easy or otherwise this is for a novice withYouTube access and minimal technical skills! The range of possibilities are wide, as is the price variation. Anyone got any recommendations or ones to avoid?

We have a nest, which is a smart one. It's really good - though expensive outlay. It is very easy to use, schedules and can be controlled via app to pre warm house when you are on your way home etc..

If nothing else this will offer a bump.

I have an IT Salus. I would have installed nest but wanted a cheaper option, as this isn’t a forever home.
I can set schedules, control via app etc. I didn’t install my plumber did, but when I had an issue I rang the company and it was easy to fix myself.
