Can I ask a favour if you have new double glazing?

We are looking at getting out 30 year old double glazing replaced. Talking to a sales chappy today he told us that even on a cold day the inside pane of a new double glazed window will be room temperature even on a cold day. I'm not sure I believe him.

Do you have shiny new double glazing?
Can you please touch your window and tell me if it's warm or at least not cold.

I just touched mine and her a bit warm but to be honest I have seen the difference between our old ones and new ones. We had ours done in March 2018. We had 7 windows done and our house is warm compared to the old ones and no humidity on them.

I have double glazing done approx 5y years ago the glass is cold. Though my windows are massive so I'm not surprised. Would love triple glazed as our windows would need it

rubbish.

we have good newish double glazing and on a cold night, we still get condensation on the inside.

Good and warm rooms, but the windows are cool/cold to the touch (not freezing though)

We had it installed in December so v new

Just touched the pane and it’s not warm by any stretch
But it isn’t far off the temperature of the wall or window frame which are also cold to touch (solid brick walls, no insulation)

Definitely no condensation on the inside, where as the old windows were covered in it

The rooms are so, so much warmer since the new windows were fitted though

Thank you for touching your windows!!

They need replacing because they are rather old and drafty.
I did think he was talking shite.
