I am driving myself crazy trying to find a slate flagstone floor that is only 1.3 cm high.

I am so pissed off with the builder who put in a new sink unit when we moved in in May. I told him.we were intending to do the whole kitchen including the floor. He built the unit so that, In order that we can pull the dishwasher out if it breaks down, the tile can only be 1.3 high.

This severely restricts my choice and I have spent days searching!

Has anyone bought a slate, or slate lookalike, flagstone please?

This is called Silverfrost tiled brickset.

Depth is around 1cm. Been in. 3 years and looks fabulous and we get a lot of compliments on it.

Have a look at Burlington stone, Select Range honed slate, 10mm thick. They are not exactly “flagstones” though, more honed solid slate tiles. Sizes are either 300x600 or 400xrandom lengths.

Think the manufacturer of Silver frost is Serenissima in Italy.

The Urban Slate range by Fired Earth which have a 20% discount at the moment. There are a few different sizes and colours. Examples below are brushed black - they also have black/grey and green honed.
