Areas in Warrington to move to

Hi all - I'm looking at moving to the Warrington area and was hoping someone with knowledge of the area can provide advice :)

I'm looking for an area to move to and I'll be commuting to Knutsford 3 times a week. My partner would be getting the train to Manchester most days (I saw that parking at Warrington Central isn't ridiculously priced so that's not too much of a concern).

Our budget is between £200k and £250k and we've narrowed it down to the following areas, what are your thoughts?

Lingley green / great sankey - new train station coming soon, nice area as it's all modern (cycle paths, parks, etc), but a poor commute to knutsford

Birchwood - dedicated train station, okay commute to Knutsford, but I've not heard anything about the area

Grappenhall - most houses are out of my budget, but I've noticed this property: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-57846252.html

Please can you provide advice, we're not from this area so we're struggling!

What are you wanting from warrington? Do you have kids? I live not far from Birchwood.

I used to live there - Great Sankey, Westbrook, Callands, Whittle Hall are all nice, reasonably priced areas with good schools. Lots of people living there who have moved into the area because of jobs. Stockton Heath, Grappenhall, Appleton are very nice but much more expensive. I don't know as much about Birchwood I'm afraid.

Depends on your budget but Lymm, Culcheth and Winwick are all nice areas with good transport links.
