Help...matt paint vs kids

Just painted the living room in a Matt light grey. Day 1 and covered in greasy finger prints. Am I going to have to repaint in silk/keep repainting over the finger prints? Or is there an easy fix? 😭

Depending on the age of your children, this might be your opportunity to teach them not to touch the walls/to wash their hands after each meal as well as before. I had this with my son, when he was really little there was a patch of his bedroom wall that was actually a few shades darker than the rest because of finger/hand prints. I used a reward chart and now our walls are fingerprint free :)

5 yo is not an issue. It's 18 month old. Would love her not to but she just won't understand yet, I'm so torn on what to do

I'm guessing you didn't buy the washable matt paint? If not then, you'll find it just comes off, So yes, you will need to paint over where it comes off.

If you do replacing, dulux do a great washable matt.

No I didn't. To be honest I didn't even think, having had magnolia walls before nothing really showed up!

Dulux Diamond matte. I can scrub spaghetti Bolognese stains off it.
