Solicitors and their sodding queries

Selling late father’s house. Accepted offer in September so hoping for exchange of contracts fairly soon. It seems though that the buyers solicitors feel compelled to raise queries in several instalments. As soon as I answer one lot they come back with more, totally unrelated to the first lot. Is it any wonder that house purchases take such a bloody long time when they string it out like this? 👿

Depends what the queries are really. But if you think they are trivial, or the buyers are looking for reasons to reduce their offer but are not justified in doing so, then you could call their bluff by threatening to go back on the market if not sorted by ‘date’.
