Floor tiles- asbestos??

I’m renovating my MIL’s old house and today pulled up the carpet. The floor is covered in these tiles.

Tiles are 9”x9” and feel carboardy.

History: MIL lived here for over 50 years, this room was originally a cafe and was converted into residential in the early 90’s. Tiles are various colours.

I have pulled a few up as they were damp and damaged and then thought about possible asbestos Hmm

They could well contain asbestos - either leave them alone and recover them or have them removed. <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/guidance/a23.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjcorO8-fLfAhWiuXEKHavICAkQFjAAegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw2tobwVSZmAllmH2II6w60B" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">This HSE document has useful info

you can skim over them to make floor to make it flat enough for carpets or new tiles or do raised laminate floor on top as it is
