Gas safe certificate

Hi all. I just recently had a new boiler fitted and the installer said he had registered it with gas safe (he is definitely registered) and that I should get a certificate through the post. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? It was finished about a month ago but then with xmas etc was not sure if I should start to chase or not? thanks

Assuming you are in UK OP., gas safe register uk says you should receive it in post within 28 days of appliance being fitted.

Mine didn’t come for some reason but when I went on the official website (gassaferegister.co.uk) it was all registered properly. I ordered another copy just for my own records - it was £6 and I thought it was easier to pay than go through the hassle of arguing I hadn’t got it.

Thanks guys. I just put my details in and it's still not showing yet. I've put a note to myself for the end of the month and will chase the installer if I still haven't received it by then

I received an email with regards to the registration quite quickly, then like others have said the postal one took longer. No more than a month I think it was.

We had our new boiler fitted as well 8 months ago and it took 3 weeks for the certificate to come through.
