Farrow & Ball - Lamp Room Grey dupe

Heya! I've got my heart set on having our living room Lamp Room Grey and was wondering if anybody knew of any dupes with the estate finish?

My dh is flat our refusing to get the original based on costs and and because his mate (who is a decorator) absolutely hates working with the brand.

Any pointers?

Get it copied at a Johnstone's Decorator Centre.

OP - just painted living room, dining room and hallway with F&B colours such as skimming stone, dove tale, clunch as well as little Greene's ashes of roses and Silt. All matched at Johnstones. Super friendly there and paint went on like a dream. We have done both flat matt and eggshell. Haven't regretted it at all.

We have a Johnston's in our city so that's brilliant. Thanks so much. That also sounds amazing @Cherubienne

This website is great. You put in the farrow and ball colour you want and it shows you the closest matches by other paint brands. Using proper RAL codes.

We were told the same by multiple decorators. They advised us to match with Johnstone's too, although they also said you'd never achieve the same finish as F&B. In the end we went with Dulux Heritage as we found colours we liked and were willing to sacrifice the F&B finish for the sake of time/cost.

I don't think anything looks like real F&B the colour matches we had done were nothing like them! So we chose different colours and had some F&B when nothing else would do. DH still curses how much of a pain it is to paint with though!

@cheesenpickles - we painted some of the tester pots of F&B next to the colour match... I would agree with the others that the finish will look slightly different but it depends how much you care for that. Personally the mark up wasn't worth it for us as we cared more about the actual colour (and this is only our home for the next 3-5 yrs). Also, we bought our paint in the black friday sale so we got a good 40% off....
