What flooring and worktop?

Smallish kitchen with white tiles and light colour wood units - these are both staying (not being painted or fabloned etc). Good lighting to make up for small N-facing windows.

Units similar to this

What colour flooring and worktop colours would go? I currently have charcoal/black for both and I hate it.

I like walnut wood effect tops like this, but not sure if it goes. Could be swayed by a glittery black worktop, vs the el cheapo rubbish the builders put in

Flooring (lino), I have no idea!

I repaint the exposed walls relatively frequently, so floor and worktop needs to be neutral to accomodate my changing colour scheme Grin

oooh, thanks!

The white one is really nice!

I also like the shiny black.

Marble. At first I thought no, but on second look...maybe.

The advantage of those units is that you can pair them with pretty much any type of counter. The disadvantage, however, is that you have too many options to choose from! Here's another one just to confuse you even more.

Black marble

Similar colour cupboards to us. We have black granite worktops and Amtico in a wood effect which we really like.

Thanks!

I think I have settled on white worktops:

  1. I have dark now so it would bug me replacing (near) black with black.
  2. I would want gloss black and they're a bugger to keep clean; and I live in a v hard water area.
  3. I was really taken by the first link Mama posted!

As for flooring, my issue with dark is similar to (1) and I am too cleaning-lazy to go for white. So I think I am settling on multi colour - maybe a Moroccan style or something.
