So from other popular threads I explained I recently accepted an offer provisionally as long as all details of the chain can be verified and are acceptable.
I just wanted to check the length of anyone's housing chains and how long they took to complete.
I believe our chain has four houses:
- House 1: I'm buying, it's vacant and seller isn't buying anything.
- House 2: I'm selling to buyer A (i', living is this so purchase/sale must coincide)
- House 3: Buyer A is selling this to buyer B (buyer A is living in this so purchase/sale must coincide)
- House 4: Buyer B is selling to buyer C who is a cash buyer (buyer B is currently in rented accommodation, so this property is vacant for buyer C).
As both buyer A & B seem motivated and want to move no later than March; I thought it might be worth accepting this offer and seeing how it pans out, my purchase is likely to be ready before all else as we have mortgage offer/ survey/ local authority searches and just needed a new buyer after ours pulled out - so I am naturally curious how long this might realistically take.
I know this is a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but I just wanted to see what other people's experiences have been being in the middle of a chain?
