Bathroom fittings/ furniture- recommendations

What would you recommend?
I've had a plumber say that B&Q is better quality than the Bath Store but am also wondering about Wickes, Vic Plumb(think it's cheap and nasty from what I can see...)
Prob getting the bath from a small specialist supplier, but looking for sink, loo and furniture (cupboards.)
Anyone any ideas?

Any independent bathroom stores near you? IME these tend to offer a wide range of brands (at a wide range of prices) good discounts off the rrps and can give advice on layout etc too.
