Moving to Rochford

My family and I are thinking of moving to Rochford, Essex.
We currently live near Lakeside and wanted to move further into essex for greenery and to be closer to the grammar schools with a decent commute into London for work.
I would appreciate any advice you could give relating to the area.
We are looking at the new build site by Bellway Homes which is off Hall Road (for anyone who is local).

Hi @twinnie13 I grew up there although haven't lived there since 2005 I still have friends there etc. There is a Facebook group called 8 out of 10 mums....ask and it is mostly mums based in that part of Essex so well worth asking about Rochford now on there.

I have no practical advice, but went there once when it was snowing and it looked beautiful Grin so I've always thought looked like a lovely place to live.

We are currently buying a 3 bed near Rochford station. I currently live in Rayleigh with parents (which we couldn't afford when buying our first place). I love Rochford, great transport links and a quiet town with nice places to eat/pubs etc.

Bellway homes look lovely! We are buying cheaper as it's our first home but they look gorgeous and are super close to the station.

Yes that’s one of the selling points for us the homes look lovely. We are not too familiar with the area and so wasn’t sure if it’s a “horrible” area but it seems to tick all our boxes.

I have read it’s a no flight zone so you do not hear the aeroplanes – is that true? Does anyone know?

I live in Hockley, which is next door to Rochford and it's a nice, quiet place. We are never bothered by the planes so shouldn't think that would be an issue.

I never hear the planes, the path isn't directly over most houses in Rochford. It is a nice quiet town, low crime rate. We are really looking forward to moving there.

I am now moving to Rochford and would like to know what good primary schools are in the area please. I have two children in primary school age.
thanks
