Fitted wardrobes - recommendations and experiences?

Hi, we are looking to remodel both ours and DD1 bedroom this year.

Both currently have fitted wardrobes. Looking for experiences (good and bad) with companies who offer a redesign and fit service (just found out John Lewis offer this too - any good?) and any hints or tips for us please.

We recently had a quote from both John Lewis and sharps. TBH I didn’t like either design and both were over £5k! We ended up purchasing a free-standing wardrobe from John Lewis for half that.
